The markings on the skin of an elephant are as unique to him as are the fingerprints of a human. Visiting this elephant sanctuary in Florida made a deep impression on me, especially in light of the recent decision of Ringling Bros. to phase out elephants from the circus by 2018.
The natural world is no longer accommodating to the lifestyle of these amazing creatures. What will the future hold for them?
