So many kids came to the library before the first bell yesterday morning, all carrying flowers. When I asked them why they had flowers, they told me the room mothers had organized the tribute for Teacher Appreciation Week. All the students in one class would be pooling their flowers to make a giant bouquet for their classroom teacher. Some flowers were from the grocery store, some the florist and some from their own gardens. In the end it will be the combining of all the flowers, whatever their origin, that will make the arrangement special.
