These two were sunning themselves in the James River as Karen and I floated by on our canal boat cruise. They lifted their heads and seemed to wave at us as we passed by. The blend of history and nature of the cruise is a wonderful way to spend an hour, whether you are a visitor to Richmond or a local. I got to chatting with some other members of the cruise and discovered they lived in Westport, Connecticut -- where I taught school before I got married and moved to Virginia. It was fun to discuss the changes in my former home town.

@hwy61 John wanted to see my pictures when I got home, so it was a good motivator to get them downloaded. BTW, I never did eat dinner tonight. Strawberry Street Cafe has been postponed!
