These cherry trees didn't check their calendar; they just responded to the string of warm days this past week in Richmond. What will this mean for next Spring? We'll just have to wait and see.
Correction! My landscapist-friend informed me These autumn-flowering cherry trees have two potential bloom periods, one big event in the spring and another in autumn after the leaves have fallen off — if it’s been a warm autumn. So it's not Global Warming gone amok!
Wow, it is hard to believe but I am enjoying the easy Winter so far

It's nice to know the second flowering is normal at this time if the temperature allows. so nice to see a flowering tree when all others are sleeping their winter sleep.
