Before classes start for the day, the library is a great place to hang out. These three friends are enjoying books from our graphic novel collection. You probably know them better as "comic books". And before you scorn them as a waste of time, they are a great way to teach sequencing, introduce vocabulary and lure the reluctant reader to the world of books.
Great picture, Allison and a reminder to me. I must admit looking and trying to read books like these as well as watching children's TV shows taught me English when I first immigrated to the US in 1955 without speaking the language. I got my first job looking after two children.
