Sweet Constructions

These Second Graders are displaying the results of a combination economics/engineering lesson. Each student was given $15 in play money to "buy" supplies to construct a candy house. Some like Alex on the upper left took a minimalist approach while Luke on the bottom left believed there is no such thing as too much decoration on your house. No matter what the style, the architects showed great pride in their work.
you always do great story telling montages allison :)

Great photos and narration! Such a cute idea - I wish we could do this in our class. However, peanut allergies have put the kibosh on any and all food-related activities at our school. So sad. :(

@juliedduncan Good point. I know our school takes care about this too. I'll have to ask the teacher how they avoided the issue.
