While the students had the day off for Presidents Day, the faculty participated in a Professional Day. Because of the glorious warm Springlike weather, we had one of our meetings outside.
THAT doesn't look hard to take! You day looks nothing short of sensational! Must share with you that two copies of the Golden books arrived today as Ashlay was in the car preparing to head home! I whipped one out and gave it to Dylan to read, but once inside, see it's really not a kid's book! Still, they can talk about the pictures as Dylan was quick to point out that he know the story of The LIttle Engine that Could! That'll do! Thanks for the head's up!
@Weezilou I agree it is really a retro book for nostalgic adults. I hope I didn't lead you astray. Maybe you could track down some of the books whose illustrations appear in this book.
@allie912 While I'd expected it to be a book for children, I love that it's for, as you put it so well, "Nostalgic adults"! Certainly we all know those illustrations from our own childhood and from reading them to our children. I'd likely saved many of them, but Heather, especially, probably absconded with them for her kids! No complaints there...I encourage them to take what they want!
@Weezilou I have been doling out my stash of LGB to Meg and Max for their respective boys, based on whose name was written on the "This book belongs to..." page! They love seeing them again and sharing those memories.
cool shades on your work colleague allison
btw: my mum was pleased that you commented on my photo of her amaryllis flower, as she reads my 365 and you are one of her favourite photographers :)
