My friend offered me this produce direct from her garden, and I declined. She called them Chinese noodles and said you cook them like green beans. To me they look like a cross between red licorice and a plastic hose. What they don't look like to me is edible. Probably my loss.
I look at food this way: If some culture eats it and likes it, I'm willing to give it a try. I do reserve the right not to like it, but I'll give it a chance. Whenever we travel, I'm game for almost anything (but no, I haven't liked it all!)
Hmm these don't look too appetising! I thought they were worms!!! I must say @Weezilou Louise has an admirable attitude....crawling snails and fried dog just couldn't make it onto my plate!!
