Saying Goodby to the Butterflies

The last day of the Butterflies--Live! exhibit at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Tomorrow they fly (by plane!) to Arizona for their next show. To commemorate the end of the exhibit, there was a special lecture and documentary focusing on the endangered state of the Monarch butterfly, due to decreased habitat. University of Kansas professor, Dr. Chip Taylor (top row) presented a call to action to plant milkweed for these migratory insects so they will have food to replace all that was lost when farming practices changed radically in the last ten years. A fascinating though troublesome situation, affecting all of North America.
I guess all good things come to an end, but something else usually takes its place
