In 1989, a few months shy of her graduation, Catherine and another Collegiate student were killed in a car accident. The two girls were both friends of my daughter.
To honor their memory The Darr-Davis Investment Advisory Board was established, creating opportunities for students to manage a stock portfolio that is then distributed to student activities.
These early daffodils are another living memorial to Catherine, providing comfort and hope every Spring.
Your photo brought tears to my eyes, partly because of the shooting in Parkland and partly because of a friend who lost her daughter in a car accident on graduation night. Wonderful way to remember Catherine.
