In the Lower School on National Pi Day (3.14) we celebrated all things round. The teachers even had a feast of pies, (cherry, apple, chocolate and coconut custard) to enjoy! Notice my Patriotically Pie shirt which I donned to get into the spirit of the day. The Fourth Grade had a contest to see which of their number could recite the longest string of digits from the formula for pi. The 4 top winners got to throw whipped cream pies at their teachers! The teachers suited up with garbage bags, shower caps and goggles, but even with all that protection, the pies found their mark!
