Peekaboo

First lily-of-the-valley of the season. They always make me think of my parents, who were married by a justice-of-the-peace on May 13,1934, during the depths of The Depression. My mother would tell me that she carried a nosegay of lilies-of-the-valley, which made them very special in our family.

Wonderful story! My mother loved lily-of-the-valley and grew them in our yard. She and my father married in 1930 and I'm not sure she carried any flowers.
