Our minister read this morning from Luke 3:7-18 where John proclaims the good news to the crowds that “one who is more powerful than I is coming.” To get the congregation in the proper frame of mind, he spoke to us as if he were John. Although did not wear clothing of rough camel’s hair, he did tell us how tasty locusts dipped in wild honey are and then preceded to share John’s message.
