From Massachusetts to Florida and here in Virginia we didn’t have to worry about clouds obscuring the solar eclipse. Perfect weather added to the excitement of the day. We only had about 85% coverage here in Richmond and without the eclipse glasses it would have just been a sunny Spring afternoon, but seeing the moon slide across the face of the sun through those magical glasses made for an experience I won’t forget.
@phil_howcroft I confess it was more a feeling of reverence for science and nature — that astronomers were able to predict so accurately when and where this would occur and that those so distant orbs could make that amazing connection.
