Free Water

With temperatures expected to reach 100 this weekend, I filled the bird bath as an act of concern. . I even added a few peanuts to lure the local birds since the kitchen has been closed all year. I saw only one generic sparrow or finch partaking of the water. I went out to check on conditions and the water was like a very warm bath. I don’t blame them for staying away.

I worry about the animals when it gets that hot. People, too!

If they need it, they'll drink it. I think most of the birds go back to the nest and hang out in the shade- at least that's what it seems like in my back yard. Pretty corner!
