I am stuck at home today without a car. Michael borrowed mine as his doors were frozen shut when he went to leave this morning. We are not in California or Florida anymore, that's for sure.
This is the sight that greeted me outside my back window this morning. I grabbed the camera and ran out in my jammies and slippers for a couple shots on the deck. Then I stuffed my feet into my snow boots and ran out in the yard for a few more. I must give the neighbors quite a show.
I thought that a sunrise would be a good way to start off the new year...a sign of new beginnings. This shot is SOOC and it reminds me of the sun rising over an African plain.
WOW WOW WOW! Honestly a loss for words! This shot is so incredible! And SOOC! Woo hoo for you! Definitely worth the peep show the neighbours got ;) hehe Oustanding shot my dear! A FAV for sure! :)
Great, great shot. I told my wife that I had probably missed a great sunrise this morning ... you are not too far east of me ... so I'm thinking I was right *sigh*... Congrats on a terrific SOOC! Teaches me to get up whether I have to for life or not!
Fav! I love this! I did the jammies on the deck bit this morning, too! I'm sure my neighbors think I'm crazy. But capturing a shot like this-- totally worth it!
@kbalychev You are hilarious. I was fully covered thank goodness. It was COLD out there. Thanks so much for your super sweet comments and fav!
@seanoneill Dang, man, 2 faves in one day. It's going to my head. Thanks, Sean...seriously:).
@rockinrobyn Thanks so very much, my parallel life friend. And to think, I considered becoming a lawyer, too. Maybe someday still...It's like we are twins;-).
@wadazomo So very nice of you to say, Dave. If only I had captured a lone tree and a giraffe in the distance, huh? That was not happening in my OH suburb today!
@dlaxton Get up, Dave! You are missing out. Yes, this one was pretty fabulous today. Not the norm. It's nice that it is sunny and not gray for a change, too!
@fueast Yeah, I probably didn't have to do that, huh? I think that I had seem that someone had theirs in a second album last year and just assumed...Now i am using all 3. Oh well. Thanks so much for your sweet comments and fav, Alison! Trying to be lower key this year, but so glad to get a good shot from my back deck when I was stuck at home for the day.
@carolmw You are very sweet. Thanks for your kind words and fav!
@cvkitty76 Really appreciate that, Christina...and so glad that you made the plunge this year!
@tryeveryday It made it worthwhile. I almost stayed in bed longer. Glad that I didn't today! Thanks so much, lady!!
@nadaa I'm always in awe of it's beauty. God is an amazing artist. Love how it changes all of the time. Thank you for your words and the fav, Nada!!!
@lyno Well shoot, that never stopped you before. You are taking it easy, huh, lady;-). It was so pretty. It's been gray a lot and we haven't seen anything like this for awhile, huh?
@blestmom4 You are very sweet to say that. Thanks, Alison. God is SOME artist, huh?!
@365inthelifeofjcvogt Thanks, JC. I was thinking that maybe my settings were off, but I really liked how it turned out!
@mommy2tns It was just coming up and I liked how it was a full ball of glowing goodness. I took more photos with it in different places, but I liked the drama and colors in this one the best. Too bad it wasn't with some great scenery in the background, but not too shabby considering it was in my back yard.
@gailn Thanks so much, Gail. Really appreciate that!!
@melody2289 Jammie photographers unite!! Thanks so much, Melody...appreciate your sweet words, for relating to my craziness and the fav. Glad to be following each other now, too! Welcome!
@sparkle Thanks so much, sweet lady. Right back 'atcha!!
@automaticslim It only came out today. We've been gray for days now. And stupid me stayed indoors all day long to avoid more laundry mess if I let the kids play in the snow. What do you prefer me call you on here? Slim? Thanks so much for that!
@sadiec Aw, thanks so much, my friend! Love that the shot came to me today!
Looks like all the superlatives have already been used! Seriously, a great capture ... and proof that amazing beauty can appear right in our own backyards! You rock, pajama lady!!
If I knew how to spell them, I'd write out the first words to Circle of Life! lol...my son watches that EVERY SINGLE DAY! But that's exactly what this shot makes me think of even without you mentioning the African plain! Really dramatic, awesome capture and even cooler that it was sooc!
Holy cow! You should have told us you were on an African safari...we wouldn't have doubted you. LOL
AMAZING shot.
And as long as you didn't run out to your deck in a see-through nighty, then the worst your neighbors can think of you is that you're crazy....NOT an exhibitionist. ;-)
Crazy ain't so bad.
@michaelelliott Thanks so very much for the fav and follow, Michael. That is an honor. I am looking forward to taking some night skyline shots of Cincy with my new camera this year:).
How did I miss your post yesterday, Amanda. I love it. The colors are amazing. You have a lot of sky out your back door. Sound like me in my sweats and a bathrobe out the door snapping photos. Too funny. A definite FAV girlfriend.
@darsphotos Thank you, Miss Darlene. I am so glad that I could zoom in enough to avoid houses and suburbia. How funny that you are a jammie shooter, too;-).
@cmc1200 Caryn...I am thinking that the new camera is magic! I had no idea what a difference a dslr would make. Wowie. Thanks so much, my friend!
@aleksandra It was actually the rise, though the colors look like the set. It was SOOC, though maybe I had the setting off. I liked the result, though! Thanks, lady. How is your more chill on 365 resolution going? I'm semi failing, though I am caring less about the photos...taking less and going with them without as much hemming and hawing.
@skipt07 I am telling you, Skip. Did you see it that morning, too? Thanks for the fav...and the ladies of Cincy might be doing a road trip this year to visit you and have you show us around Amish Country:).
@amandalomonaco yep, I'm semi failing too...the funny thing is that I really want to keep taking photos, but wish I was more decisive about which to upload and wasn't so addicted to spending every waking second checking out other people's work for inspiration. I think I might need to face my OCD tendencies or i may need an intervention?! Lol!
@hopelessromantic Anything for a photo, Peter. Thanks so much!
@kbalychev You are hilarious. I was fully covered thank goodness. It was COLD out there. Thanks so much for your super sweet comments and fav!
