I love the silhouettes, and the sky is awesome - it looks like the stained glass in our church windows (not that I am not paying attention to the service!). For some reason, this makes me think of the special chalk holder the music teacher had that held 5 pieces of chalk to draw even lines to represent the lines in music. I bet you didn't even know that your picture speaks to others too!!!
@darsphotos It just a theme that Jeff Walker started this week called Eye of the Beholder. It is to make beautiful something that normally wouldn't be considered as such. Thinking more of writing a book thanks to you. Starting to brainstorm about it:).

Splendid colours, and the lines do form a pleasing pattern. Most of the time I really like powerlines ... strangely they seem to me to be more visually disruptive in urban settings where they have lots of straight lines to compete with.
@automaticslim Should I have processed the heck out of this one and made it more stark? I love power lines, too, but hear what you are saying about urban ones.

@amandalomonaco it's pretty incredible how much you see around you when searching for shots isn't it? I often get funny looks from my partner when taking pictures of everyday objects or items!
@blestmom4 I use mostly the downloading software with the camera (in this case a Windows downloader) and Gimp if I am trying to do something special. Better software would be nice, but this is working for me now.
@amandalomonaco what balance, I think I left it behind in 2011 and can't find it again! Still spending a lot of time here, but trying to be more selective about the appropriateness of when that is...it works at times ;) How about you?
@amandalomonaco mine too. Hubby couldnt wait for me to be finished last year. I've been taking most of my shots during lunch breaks at work so that it doesn't interfere with the evening routine...so my style has changed a little this month I think.
