Here is my Q for my alphabet project. I am attempting to find the alphabet this year and 8 or 9 others are joining me on this quest. We are tagging our photos 'alpha-2013' if you want to join in the fun.
As I was taking this photo on my driveway this morning, my neighbor pulled up and saw me shooting our jogging stroller's wheel. He walked over and asked if I had killed any snowmen today? "Nope, not today." Ha! At least he is humored by my crazy antics and doesn't just head straight into his house, scared of my nuttiness.
Today, I found out that my Red Rendezvous photo made it into the top 20...it was #5. So humbled by the great response to it. Thanks, friends, for helping my photo do so well. You all rock!
Also, I took my contest photo to a local frame shop and picked out a perfect frame at mat for it. I even signed the photo. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. I sure hope it wins something and sells as I have invested so much into it. If not, I have a lovely new piece of art for my home and a mad husband (hopefully not!). Eeek.
Congrats on your spot in the top 20! I keep meaning to try my hand at an alphabet challenge like that, but I always talk myself out of it. I really should do at least an easier version and photograph letters from all different signs around the city.
@melissapike Join us, lady...we are taking the whole year to do it. And you can do it however you like. It's so fun to look for the letters. Thanks:)))!
Very clever Q! Very well spotted! That's one of the ones I'd think would be hard to find!
I think I'm going to attempt Alpha-April come...yep, April. I did Flash-o-Red February and almost March Rainbow, but I decided to take a month off from a themed month. I'll do the rainbow later in the year. But I'll use your tag too once April rolls around!
Great job on finding a real Q, that seems like it would be a tough one! I do hope you'll show us a photo of the completed, framed, and hung print, so we can all admire your work!
Lovin your Q :) Totally laughed out loud at the neighbors comment :) hehe Super congrats on all your attention to your work! It completely deserves all of it! :) hugs
Love the contrast! That little shadow under there looks like an animal. And I'll definitely consider doing the alphabet project, sounds fun! Already have an S.
@steampowered Thanks, Paul. I got the idea from someone else's alphabet. I wondered how the heck you find a Q?
@emrob Yeah, glad that you will be joining us in April. Doing the letters in a month would be tough. I am far too lazy to take on one of those daily challenges. I don't want to be forced to find a specific something everyday, though having the motivation is nice, too. Thanks, lady!
@psychographer Love yours, Lisa. I think that I faved it so I can refer to in for ideas. Some of the letters are really tough!
@automaticslim I think so. I may redo some. Though I love my P, it's not great for this perhaps or consistent with the rest. We'll see. I've seen a couple other projects like this lately and getting ideas. Some are going to be tough to find. Ruth's Q was awesome...check it out. Thanks, Andy.
@automaticslim Oh man, I thought of a good q that I can set up, if I can just track down some things. I may redo sometime...stay tuned. Bummer that Ruth beat you to the punch with the plate. You could use a knife or something instead of chopsticks...and a bowl?
Yes, I'll probably stick to the basic idea, think there might be a nice twist in the offing to make it distinctive though. Oh hey, I got a beautiful "O" just like yours with the bridge and the reflection on that roll of film ... blurred though unfortunately. It was a very cold morning, well that's the story.
Your alphabet sounds fun, might see what I can come up with. I did one with Ed last year but in a month, the longer time span opens it up to be more creative & spot things. Neat Q, the shadow is great

Nice Q, that's one of the slightly troublesome ones, especially when someone preempts your ideas. :-)
