Today is chilly and gray. I had to go pick up my photo from the recent art exhibit/photo contest. It didn't sell, which was a tad disappointing, but now I have a lovely new piece of art for my home. Art that I created myself, which is pretty cool!
On the way, I noticed these lovely fields of swaying yellow flowers. The expanse of yellow was so happy and incredible, like a joyful sea of color on a dismal day. It made me smile to see it. I stopped for a few photos of them on the way home. This doesn't show you the expanse of it as much as I had wanted, but I do like that the farmhouse made it in the shot.
Funny side note: While driving, my newly 4 year old pipes up with: "Look at that pretty scene, Mommy!" She was pointing to some rolling hills in a field. That's my girl!:)
Last year the valley here was awash with fields of oilseed rape and I always photographed it against grey sky : this is a superb image and I am envious as we have no rape due to the flooding ! Superb
awww, that is your girl! that is so cool......she is developing an eye for the beauty in the world around her, and that is fabulous!
and she was right, very pretty indeed!
It's wonderful! We have several fields like that and I find it so hard to really capture their beauty. You did a great job in this - I love how those few stick out above the rest.
The yellow is beautiful. Great find and shot. My four year old took the Lily of the Valley flower and made an arrangement on the table with candles and pine cones and insisted I take a photo and make it my photo for the day. It's lovely when they understand what you enjoy doing and want to be a part of it :)
