One of my goals for the year was to do a better job of capturing what means something, what is important. Not just the pretty flowers and scenes, but the guts, the life blood, the meat. Things that really matter!
My most important job in the world is to be the mama to my 3 precious children. I love them fiercely. I am so richly blessed.
And it makes me wonder how much more the Father loves us when my own fickle, imperfect love is so intense.
It's Friday. May your weekend be filled with important things and breathtaking beauty, too. I love that you share your world with me.
Thank you all, too, for your continued support and faves, that put my dock sunrise shot in the TT this week. Can't wait for my sunrise this weekend!:) Who is joining me this time?
Poignant image, you captured this perfectly. Your daughter is very beautiful, such big beautiful eyes she has. There is nothing more fierce than a mother's love for her child, man nor beast, they will protect till death if they need to.
@bobfoto And this is not even a cute expression or photo of her. I took a bunch and had most of my head cropped out where I looked like just a floating face. Wish she were more in focus, too...but I loved how it showed my love. Thank you!
@adamj She wanted it in color...and probably doesn't like the goofy face she is making. But it was the best of me...the rest had much of my head cropped out...whoops. That is what I wanted to portray so I'm glad it shows. Thanks, friend. Check out my silly from yesterday.
Quite right too. If I still had littlies I think my whole project would be overtaken by pics of them ;o) This is adorable, an absolute treasure of a shot. Congrats on the TT. I'll try and get up in time for the sunrise this weekend but it's back to raining here now so not sure how successful it'll be xx
This is great. Shows adoration perfectly. Congrats on the TT again - you are on a roll; I love to see your pictures on there. I'm going to take up your sunrise challenge but next weekend; this one is rather crazy.
@rachelwithey Can't wait for you to take on the sunrise. You will love it. Thank you so much for your kind words, Rachel. I really appreciate them and you!
Her direct look at the camera is priceless. I know what you mean about things that really matter. Yesterday was our anniversary, and my wife has battled serious illness for years, so I set the camera aside and we had a nice quiet celebration with friends.
Lovely photo although I have seen that look before. It looks like my son's yes I love you Papa and I am willing to have as many kisses as you want to give me but hurry up please I have things to do look :)
@istacy1011 I should. I was annoyed with Clara being not in focus. It's tough to get selfies right. Thanks so much for your wonderful comments and fav, my friend!
@rvwalker Oh how awesome that you had your anniversary yesterday and you honored your wife with the day off of photos. Hope that it was a beautiful and blessed day for you both. How many years? Congratulations, Ross!!
My friends, thank you so very much for your sweet comments about this image of Clara and I. When I am feeling frustrated I need to look at this and count my blessings. Yes, I think I need to frame this one!:)
Sooooo stoked for my sunrise tomorrow. I have big plans. Stay tuned:)! Happy Sunday!
This is so very beautiful! I was reading some blogs this morning.... Christian sites of encouragement for mums... and one of the blogs really spoke to me... the title was something like: "Why our teenage kids needs more hugs from us" [or something like that]. It was really good, and so true, and your photo made me think of it again. We should never shrug off these important moments - finding and making time for the important things is life is the ultimate goal as a Mom! Fav.
@gailmmeek Love your great true words and fav. Thanks so much. I will keep hugging them forever!!!
@abhijit This was the last shot and she was done by then. The rest she had been more into the affection, but this one turned out the best. Thanks, my friend!!!
This is a great example of the things that matter and certainly portrays fierce love! Well done.
also following you back!! :-)
I don't want easy, either. I got crazy, and I love her.
Fab shot.
