This is a similar shot to the one I took of the same stretch of road on a snowy day last winter: http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-03-07. I liked the yellow line through the yellow tree lined road.
Hope you are having a super weekend!! I'm feeling mellow yellow today:).
Ok first of alll, I went straight to see the snow one, and it was a FAV, for sure. These colors are exquisit!!! Love the endless feeling on this one. Gorgeous!
@deniseescovino I'm pretty new to snow, too. Still magical to me. I hope that the magic never fades. I am still in awe by fall change and it has been 9 or so years since I first experienced it.
@snaggy How cool!! That was so long ago, huh?! Thanks, Kev!!
Nice lines Amanda. I miss seeing your comments...but I know how hard it is.....but i do look forward to seeing your photos. We are leaving Wed for our winter trip so I will probably get behind a bit, but will do my best to keep up.
What a difference those to lonely color coordinated leaves make. The curve is gorgeous. I've taken a bunch of these lately. Guess I should post at least one.
Amanda, this is gorgeous =) I always loved low perspective shots, they make you feel like you falling into the picture, and those yellow lines makes this feeling even stronger - just wonderful - fav!
What a great POV for leading us into the yellow leaves! I am glad to see you were safe and can post this because otherwise, it may have been a dangerous way to take this image!
@mariyakey I love low shots, too. It's amazing how different that perspective makes things. I often shoot scenes from multiple perspectives and then choose what I prefer. I had one here that was a tad higher, but I liked the drama of the low. Thanks so much for appreciating this, too...and for your kind fav, Mariya!!
@sunshinephoto5 Oh, hope you can find the chance and place sometime. Last winter I parked my car and stood in front of it for the shot. This time, I just looked both ways and went out...thankfully it wasn't too trafficky. Thanks, lady!
@summerfield You made me look. Are your eyes that good or are you tricking me?!:) Funny lady!
@thirtysevenways NO!;-) Of course. It was more dramatic. I got the exact same pov in another version of the shot, but for some reason preferred this one for the autumn one. Winter was more dramatic! Thanks, Andy!
@amandal I am so jealous, my hubby was out your way and came home with a photo from the road on the Roebling bridge. I was all Hey!! Not fair. How is that possible anyway???
Aw, wish you had come and we could have met up again. I got a Roebling roadway shot earlier in the year. You have to step out in the road if it is clear. Not the safest, but less populated that the BB:). http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-01-06
@amandal The boys loved Cinni and want to go back, when they do i am tagging along! you would never ever be able to get a shot like that on BB. Awesome capture!
Fav. This is great. Great leading line, pov, and colors. My favorite part is the lone yellow leaf. Brings a sense of a journey, one that we may often overlook. We go through our trials and tribulations in life, sometimes seemingly epic in nature. But is the path of an ant, a drop of water or even this leaf any less stunning?
@losthorizon LOVE your words here, my friend. Poetry. I was so drawn to that yellow leaf, too. I shot with and without it, but I had to have it in there. It helped tell the story. So appreciate the fav, too!
love the comparison
And thanks so much, lady:)))!
@snaggy How cool!! That was so long ago, huh?! Thanks, Kev!!
@summerfield You made me look. Are your eyes that good or are you tricking me?!:) Funny lady!
Thanks, Dawn!! @sunshinephoto5
Really love and appreciate your great comments, my friends. I, too, loved the yellow leaves that were there on the road. Thanks for your support!
Thanks so much, ladies. I was drawn to the leaf, too, Rachel. I shot it without the leaf, too, but I thought that the color added.
