I am starting to feel frenzied about the move with just two days to go. There is still tons more to pack and we are running out of boxes.
I have accomplished a lot in these weeks...I painted all 3 of the kids bedrooms with the help of friends (and my mama), we've taken over loads of things, packed bunches, registered the kids for their new school and took them to meet their new teachers and more.
I am tired. I took a break and read my Bible and spent sometime with God just a few minutes ago and feel more hopeful and energized. I can't do this on my own weak strength. Alone, I fail. With God, I am strong.
Looking forward to being done with this stressful event and starting to settle again. Our new place is in a really wooded area. Mike has noticed every time he drives into the new neighborhood, he feels his blood pressure dropping and a sense of peace. I can't wait to be in a more peaceful place, to be able to rest well again.
Please pardon the similar photo to last week...this is from the other side of the path (or coming in the other direction and was taken on my flipped reflection morning the other day. I was just blown away by the clarity of the reflections this week. I am so under the pile and don't know when I will be able to take the time to take photos for a bit.
Breathe. And take the timer to notice all the beauty around you, even if you don't have time to photograph it. You will be settled into a new normal soon.
I look at this photo and I feel peace. You will feel peace again soon! Turning to God and laying your burdens at His feet is a nice way to start the day. I wish I lived by you. I've been anticipating a move for 2+ years and I have a garage full of boxes I'd loan you.
By the way, this is a fav for me! Hang in there! :)
Hahaha, @sunshinephoto5 , honestly that was my first thought: don't forget to breathe....
Remember to take time for yourself, to recharge. Perhaps a fresh eye on old photos can help to energize your photo needs when you're unable to shoot. Write down your ideas for the future when you're settled again.
It's a great adventure, building a new home, enjoy each moment. Take care, girlie xox.
Beautiful reflection....well done and thoughtful.
you were right .. this place has a uncanny resemblance to our lake here in MD. Beautiful tranquil setting .. wonderful reflections ... and nice narrative .. does seem like a lot of work super woman :-)
wonderful shot, looks like a very peaceful place. moving is stressful but it is just temporary, in no time you will be settle din your new place and all the stress will only be a distant memory!
You may feel (temporarily) frenzied but the photo is quite soothing. Don't envy you the work of moving but it sounds like you are making good progress and will find the strength and will to get it all done. Keep your eye on that prize -- new, peaceful home and return to balance and more time for photo taking. We're all rooting for you.
Your reflection shots have been so wonderful! And appropriate it seems, for where you are now in your transitioning. This one is so lovely! Breathe!! (that' my Mantra!)
Love the totally calm water! Whenever I'm in a stressful situation, I try to imagine myself a month or two out looking back. Sometimes it doesn't help ;-)... but sometimes it does!
What a beautiful shot and love the reflection that you captured. Just amazing, Amanda. You have done so much and good for you. You will be happy that you did. Nice to know you are moving to a more peaceful place. Take care and hugs to you.
