What can I say, she is my mini me. I love this little stinker. I have 8 more months of having her at home with me full time before she starts kindergarten. It will be my first time in 9+ years with no kid at home with me. What on earth will I do with my time?! Oh I will think of something, but I am sure that it will be hard to deal with for at least a few days. I'm sure on her first day, I'll be bawling.
My Clara. She is adorable, she is exasperating, she is a thumb sucking, blanket toting, smartie pants, cutie.
When I first met her, when I looked at her face, I was struck by her crazy wild hair. It was thick, black and out of control. For her first months, she had a Hitler type, comb over going on. And then there was a period where we had an issue, she and I were on a medication and her lips were bright purple...like a crayon. I took her out and people asked me if she was wearing lipstick...my infant in make up?! Yeah right! She looked like the perfect rock star.
Gosh, I'm crazy about these kids. I can't wait to see who they become and pray that they help change the world for the better!

Another wonderful photo, this one of your Clara. I love the detail you captured of her and your story of her. You have been so lucky to be home with all of your children until they started school. You have been their beginning and they are so very lucky for that. Nicely done, Amanda.
Fantastic portraits - all three. And you have written such special dedications to these kids - print them out and keep them or later years, the kids will love reading what you've written, I'm sure.
Trying to imagine the picture you've painted of the dark combover with purple lips. And just what is it with people asking stupid questions? People used to ask me ALL the time if I curled Elina's hair. Do I look like a pageant mom? The kid is in stained, obviously old clothes and they think I'm taking the time to do a full head of ringlets?!?!? Great job on the portraits, the processing ties them all together. Going to put them on your new walls?

All your kids are just sooooo gorgeous. What wonderful eyes and smiles they all have. You know, you will survive her going to school. I am beginning to become me again other than just Mum...although I'll always be Mum :o) My youngest has been accepted into Bath University so long as he gets his grades. Time flies so quickly xx
