We are snowed in today. It's blizzardy and cold and white outside. I really love how the white stuff looks coming down, like a real life snow globe outside.
See how pretty (bigger looks better to see the flakes more in detail)?!
I wanted to thank you for all of your kind comments and faves this week. My ICM shot of the sunrise made the TT (top 20) and I really appreciated your sweet words and faves on my selfies and cute Clara snow shot, too. Gosh, we've been snowy as you can see. Can I wish for color again tomorrow? That and a little warmth.
Stay warm, keep cool...and happy Friday my photo lovin' friends.:)
My bro-in-law bought a snowblower with the intent that when it was delivered it would no longer snow out there! (They live in Indianapolis.) Apparently they were wrong. He apologizes to everyone. :)
I think you guys have more snow than us at this point -- which is rare!
LOVE this shot! And it's fantastic large!
Congrats on the TT Amanda. No snow for us yet this winter, just because I want to go out and take photos of it!!! Love the effect here, a complete white out.
Wow....I just can't wrap my mind around that much snow for so long! Even when we have snow at home it doesn't last long. It is very beautiful and must be very fun to play in. Lovely capture!
Great, beautiful snow shot here! We had slow snow this morning, and I experimented with how well you could shoot a snowflake through the windows of your car - wish I had had my macro stuff!
Wow, what an amazing shot, Amanda. Love your title and the falling flakes of snow. Have you seen that we are in a severe drought? It has been in the 70's here and the 80's in So CA. Everything is so dry with no rain in our forecast and so little snow in the mountains.
Bleak! Still no sign of any snow over here!! We've only had 4 or 5 frosty mornings so far this winter!! Many congrats on your T20, and I was nowhere in sight ;-)
@bobfoto I do hope that you can experience snow someday. It is truly magical. I'm still in awe of the stuff (only my second snowy winter granted, but I hope the awe remains). Check out how it looked coming down out my front door yesterday. Thanks for your comments.
You have been getting waaay too much snow. I mean, I realize that International Falls, Minnesota get a lot of snow but...Oh wait. You don't live in Minny. You live in Cincy! What gives?
@adamj It seems like bunches, and it has been snowing for DAYS, but it's only inches on the ground surprisingly. Looks amazing to see it coming down, though. I think that this is normal winter here. Last year we only got snow a few times.
@amandal - I have seen mountains of snow and have stood on skies and fallen over, but I have never seen it fall out of the sky as individual flakes. Seriously I once thought that a snowflake was a thing of Disney and that snow falling out of the sky would be like tiny hail-stones until the 365. Seriously.
@bobfoto Skies, skis, same diff!! I've never skied, except on water. Hope to change that soon. And here I lived close to Tahoe and went twice for skiing weekends (but I always had a little baby or was pregnant). Falling from the sky is incredible, magical, Disneyesque it's so perfect. Gotta see it sometime. It's still coming down like crazy here.
This is beautiful! I could imagine this as my screen saver, in fact. . . this is the photo I wanted to take today but all I got was fuzzy images (shooting through the screen in the window.)
@jyokota I took a shot through my screen today, but I don't think that it was effected. Sometimes it is. I did sharpen this up to see the flakes more clearly. Thanks so much, my friend!

In Holland it's almost like spring, temperatures far above zero. Can hear the birds sing in the morning haha
@susale Thanks kindly, Suse.

@malc I KNOW!! Thanks, man!
