The Mad Hatters music theme got me to thinking about my favorite songs of all time and I think that this one may just be my all time favorite: Sweet Child o' Mine by Guns N' Roses.
What would your favorite song of all time put to photo look like? If you post, please tag me. And if you post this week, be sure to tag it madhatters-music.
That is an interesting challenge. I'm not sure what my favourite song is, I guess it can be mood driven, but I do keep coming back to Train in Vain by The Clash. Lovely shot of Clara, what a sweet child she truly is.....
@seanoneill We get each other's kids mixed up. This is Emily. Clara is the little:). Will you do a photo for your song? I also love Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard.
@kerristephens Thanks, Kerri. SO appreciate that. I did edit in the rays for added drama. It was all bokehlicious and golden, though.
@amandal You know, I wondered if was going to mix your girls up, guessed wrong. A friend of mine has identical twins. They are about 13 now and I have known them since they were born, and can I get them right!! Not sure I will have time to take a shot in the near future. I have a busy weekend and then am in hospital with Ben from Monday until who knows when!!
Continuing from the "homes discussion board" I have decided to check out your site and follow you since we have so much in common. I'm wondering if you knew my children when you went to Lyman---Holly, Greg & Ryan. It would have been around the same time. My boys liked Guns N' Roses, too. Love this photo!
I love this photo. The lighting is awesome. Such a wonderful capture. I do not know the song but this is all about each persons favorite song. What a great idea, Amanda. I have no idea what my favorite song is and it will take time to figure it out. Your mind keeps going all the time. You do sleep, right? I love that you have all of these things in your head or imagination. You are a very special person and a ton of inspiration. FAV
@amandal What the heck did I say up there, do you sleep right? I meant at night. I am tired of words being corrected when I type. Glad you did not mention my typing blunder.
@hh Thank you sooo much, lady. Love that you thought that the blank police comments were funny. I loved this photo, love the song...but to add drama, I edited in the sunrays. It was golden and bokeh filled, but it needed that extra oomph to go. So I used picmonkey and added a burst and made it appear to be rays. Is that a total cheat? Sorry if so...
not a cheat at all. this is beautiful and so apt for your child and the song. those bokeh look delicious to my eyes and the little princess is just plain gorgeous with that beautiful smile. methinks i will photograph my favourite song, too. i just have to remember which one is my favourite.
@amandal Cheating is SO allowed. I learned how to develop and print photos in the darkroom - you'd be amazed at the cheats that can be employed in the darkroom. In other words, photos have been manipulated since photography was invented. We're making art and can do anything we like (within legal and moral bounds :0) to make our art what we want it to be. Did you know there are 'cheating wardens' ...they're employed to make sure there is lots of cheating :0)))
Just to say, again, this photo is glorious. The love you have for your children radiates out of your photos of them.
...and thanks again for the giggle. You have an incredibly quick wit. It's wonderful.
I guess the love you have is the something extra that comes through in these captures. They are breathtaking, really. Especially for a parent. Thank you so much for sharing! Fav for me. Tagged my song from a bit ago

@m9f9l Love your great description. Truly I am:).
I'll have a think about your excellent question about favourite music/photo. Mmmm, so may tunes to choose from....
