Harry Potter was the boy who survived. He was a boy from a magic family who had been attacked by an evil wizard and for some reason survived. Harry Potter was special, but he didn't know this.
Harry lived with his awful Uncle, Aunt and cousin, the Dursley family, who barely tolerated them, much less treated him as family. He didn't know much about his parents, or his story. Only lies that the Dursley's told him.
And then on the eve of his 11th birthday, mail started coming for him. His uncle opened it and saw that it was mail from a school of wizardry, magic mail. He was furious and tried to hide if from Harry. But the mail wouldn't stop. It kept arriving and was all over the house. Harry was so curious. What was making the Dursley's so upset?
I had a pretty unmagic scene, so I added some magical pizazz. No owl was in the scene, but everyone knows that the owls delivered the mail in the story, so I edited in an old favorite photo from last year. Oh and Harry drew on his own scar.
Your expression is priceless. You are quite an actress. Great composition, great content, great drama and a great family for their co-operation. A+ and a FAV
@gerry@cathrinemitch@carolmw@happysnap You all are so kind for the faves. We had a blast (mostly me) with this one. I so love to put stuff like this together!:)
Oh Amanda you never cease to amaze me! This is just so brilliant, I love the set up and all your expressions, even your son looks shocked! Such a wonderful imagination you have, it's another fav from me :)
Was impressed by this in the morning when I first saw it -- you've really captured that scene and the characters so well (though I suspect you don't have a completely obese little boy to add to the mix!). So well done!
This is absolute hilarious and awesome! Can I come hang out with your family, you all look like great fun!
I actually prefer this version.
PS) Don't worry, I'm not on my way to come hang out.
@amandal You are going to have to frame your photos and put them up in a room of your own or throughout your house or story by story. What is up with eating ladybugs and how does someone know how they taste or just a funny. lol
@bobfoto Love that everyone played along. I get it now...how fun it is to be a part of a group. I've grown to love that more than doing my own project. A team effort is the best. Know what is annoying, though...not getting the notifications for comments. I emailed and asked Ross about it to see if it could be set up in that way and he brushed me off. Oh well. Thanks...love the acting bit of selfies. That's why I am into them really. Long response for a short comment. Sup, you looking for a fav today?
@amandal - yes and the issue of notification is noted in my faves which now house a lot of shots of me, because it is easier for me to navigate back to some of my selfies that way.
@bobfoto Yeah, and I have a way with words. I asked him several things including what I needed to make PP. 50 faves wasn't getting me there. But it was right after the big site change so he was probably getting hate mail. My stuff was just one more hassle.
Can I just say , you are freecking awesome! I'm going through your gallery and you are so talented. I couldn't imagine doing what you do. Your words play such a role in the images that you are like a book, making us eagerly anticipate the next page. Great job and I am excited to have the opportunity to communicate with you sometimes. I'm going to wear my mouse out clicking on the images.
@habit Well thanks. A few years back, I was a part of a storytelling group. I spent waaay to much time doing these, but had lots of fun. Eventually after a year, it got to be too much.
@rachelwithey Oh cool, hope you do. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!
Superb
Thanks so much, ladies. No obese boy. Harry wasn't even supposed to be in the scene, but he had to be there considering I had a cast member for it:).
I actually prefer this version.
PS) Don't worry, I'm not on my way to come hang out.
@darsphotos Thanks so much, Darlene. We had fun pulling it off together.
