Off to Google on this one :-) Now I see what you mean :-) How cool is that to catch a squirrel doing yoga or praying? You have the most cooperative wildlife in Cincinnati! FAV!
We had a British comedian (long dead) who used to make people laugh just by walking on stage and sometimes before he even appeared on stage - this photo had the same effect on me - brilliant.
This is great! I love the detail! Do you use a tripod for a shot like this? Every time I try to take photos of animals I have such camera shake that the shot is blurred. Even though I'm an animal lover, squirrels are not one of my favorite creatures...too hyper; they need to take it down a notch, but I shall give him (and you) a FAV because I love the photo!!!
@april16 No tripod. I've gotten steadier the longer I go. Not so super steady in lower light, but this was bright and nice out. I was inside shooting through a window. The squirrel is maybe 2-3 yards away on our deck railing. I had seed up on the rail. I found this to be a blurrier shot, not one of my betters, but I did like his pose a bunch and the title made it. I've also found that I am no longer such a fan of our squirrels as they have become such a pest with the bird feeder...climbing up it regularly. It used to be a week before it needed refilling and now because of these getting chubbier pests, it's daily. Sick of screaming at them, sick of chasing them, just annoyed in general...but at least they have given me some good photos. I linked another in the comment above and this is perhaps my best squirrel shot here: http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2014-02-12
And funnily enough, the one I shared with you was a rather crappy photo, that I edited and made it good. It was gray and dark and bad...snow is tough, but with a bunch of editing, it became a really great photo. I've come a long way with my editing and can salvage some mediocre shots now.
@yrhenwr I know. They are driving me bonkers. I used to think they were sooo cute. And now, they are pests who I've almost given up on trying to keep away from my birdfeeder.
You eating chocolate again? Superfood and all. I seriously love dark.
