There was the cutest little boy at the Farmers Market the other day. I am so drawn to cute kids, especially little boys in overalls. It's the mom in me, I guess. I've talked to other moms who are the same way...we go out for the evening kids free or away for a girls weekend and can't take our eyes of the cute children. They are such a part of us, I suppose.
Anyway, I had my wrong lens on for this shot...but I took the snap. I'd have zoomed in more. The dad spied me taking the shot and gave me a hideous look. So I cropped him out. I didn't want him in there anyway. It was the curly headed moptop, towhead in overalls that I loved.
@linnypinny I use Picmonkey and find it pretty incredibly easy...used to do it in gimp and it was much harder and full of steps. Convert to b&w and within that select the writing tool and draw over the bits you want in color. You can make the image larger, make the tool smaller, take your time and draw. Let me know if you can't find it or figure it out. Thanks so much for the fav and kind words!
@almondjoy1 I know some hate it. I don't mind it so much when used sparingly. There are just times when b&w works best to downplay stuff, but yet there is some adorable color. I liked how it highlighted the boy and downplayed his dad:). Thanks, Joy!!
@linnypinny Write me if you don't see the tool within the b&w conversion. In this one, I did a b&w focal point first to make there less color around to begin with. I made the boy color and all around him b&w, but then did the conversion for the dad bright blue socks and to get it perfect.
@andrewkru That really means a lot to me, Andrew. I really wish to do that...to capture emotion, so that I am doing that and you recognize that...well that is just awesome. Goal accomplished. Thanks again!!!
