I was spotted. I waited for this shot as I was walking by...saw the dude climbing the stairs and fired at the right moment. He was so onto me.
I really love urban street photography. Adore it. Had a great photowalk with Meg yesterday in the city, even despite the blustery gray day. It kept us cooler.
Thanks for all of your kind comments and faves this week. Loved that you enjoyed Clara's joyous roller coaster ride and the moonrise in Paris (that shot was a total afterthought and quick snap). Thanks, too, for your support of Mad Hatters! @madhatters
@bill_fe It would just make taking photos so much easier. I think the glares that I get add to the photos sometimes, though. And sometimes people laugh. Sometime I really need to ask for permission for photos. I want to be able to get street portraits that way.
@amandal I agree, the glare from that little girl in the reenactment photo was priceless. I've shot homeless people twice now, quite some time before I joined 365. Both times, I asked and got permission. Although the first one, I'm not so sure he had the capacity to give me permission. As I was leaving, he hollered out 'Cobalt Blue" and then went on to explain that he rode a cobalt blue bike to a bar, and when he came out, it was gone.
@bill_fe Hmmm, I have a cobalt blue bike. Funny that. Love the color. it's in this photo in fact. Yes, glares can really be cool. I do love good street photography and look forward to the day when I feel safe and secure approaching people, though.
busted, eh! he'll get over it, don't worry! nice one, kiddo. i have a thing about people walking up and down stairs and i see them through glass walls. the same way i love taking photos of people walking or biking on overhead walkways or bridges.
