I took the kids outside in the early morning to catch the bus and they saw deer in a neighbor's yard down the road. After they got off, I ran inside, got dressed and went back out with my camera hoping they were still there. They were, I got to spend some time with them and get some shots. I even went back in and got Clara so she could enjoy them, too. It was a beautiful time, just watching them, being with them. Periodically, they'd look up from their grazing and give me a look and then go back to their feeding. Such sweet, sweet things. I fawn over them.
And this is a dream of mine for awhile, to actually get to hang out with them and get some shots. Normally, they are pretty skittish and I never have a camera or a way to shoot them when I see them (often I am driving and they are on the side of the road). This was a dream finally reached.
@dh Thank you. The added in lighting makes it so, but the setting was quite idyllic, too. At first they were in some people's yard near a hammock and a chair and a statue thing. This setting was much improved.
@jocasta Thank you, Joy. I love to keep it mixed. It's nice not to be a slave to shooting everyday and such. It helps for me to post when i feel like it. If I shot everyday, it would be kids, kids kids:).
What a great experience that must have been - to actually get to watch and enjoy AND get a super shot. Love the processing with the light - adds a bunch to an already nice shot.
two words come to mind: lime disease. they're cute though and really makes me giddy seeing them in person. but the medical world spoiled all that for me.
@graemestevens @fueast @ziggy77 Thanks, guys. I had a wonderful moment watching him watching me:). Happy weekend!
