Welcoming my favorite season today (at least the season tied with spring). Fall is here.
The air is crisp, the leaves are starting to change, all things apple and pumpkin are available now, football is back, the days are shorter and I'm craving soup.
As fun and as nice as summer is, fall is always so very welcome.
As a treat, I'm making the kids a special fall breakfast, eggs and pumpkin muffins.
And last night, we had ice cream cones to say goodbye to summer and all those sweet memories. Moving on with a big grin.

**A funny side note story about the letter F: Years ago, when I was 20, I visited California for the fist time with my family. While we were waiting for our luggage at the SF airport, a bag kept circling the carousel over and over again. What made it recognizable was a huge bright yellow F taped onto the side of it. Around and around this bag went, as we stood, anxious for our bags so we could go and move on with our vacation. It got to be a joke. "There is that F bag again. F there it is..." We still talk about that F bag, one of the fun standouts of a very fun trip. That was my last family vacation while still living at home (though at that point I was only home for summers).**
Very creative! Great colors in the leaves. I guess that is one downside to Florida, our fall is fairly limited and true "fall" only lasts a week or so!
@ladygator When I left FL, 10 years ago...I couldn't believe how gorgeous the change of seasons are, how dramatic. I think I will always appreciate it more than most in that I didn't have that for most of my life. Thanks!
@teiko Emotion as in it stirs up positive emotions or sad time or? I was trying to figure out what season in life I am and I think that it's late summer, soon to be fall. Thanks, Emilie!:)
@jocasta Fall is romantic in the evenings with crackling fires and hot tea or cocoa. It's so different, but wonderful in it's own way. Does it get pretty with changing leaves by you? That helps me love it. I grew up without any change of seasons, so I very much enjoy and appreciate them now.
