My oh my, she really does fly! Swinging her cares away. And swinging into her birthday...this weekend she is 8, Don't hate. She's great. Wait...
Here was me practicing swing shots in Manual mode over the weekend. Afterward, I got advice from the swing shot expert and she suggested getting low and getting nothing but sky. I don't think that was possible at this park, but since I couldn't do that, I made due with what I had and made it all zoomy and fast looking.
@edie I had taken this before talking to you, asking you for advice. Since I didn't have just sky, I tried to funky it up and make it a different swing shot take. How'd I do? Thanks for your advice. I'll try sky should I be in a park where that is possible. This one was too tree surrounded.
@kwind Aw, thanks, my friend. Could you redo the button, though?:) Pranker;-). Hope you are having a great day! Hey, how's Gage doing lately? Any progress with his stuff?
This is an awesome photo, Amanda. I love the detail you captured and the movement as well. Perfectly perfect. You need to frame this one or put it in the book you will write. One of your best my friend. FAV
@jo13 Guess what, I got some one on one with a local professional photographer and she helped me with my portraits and M settings. I'm getting better. This was with her pointers. Thanks so much for the fav and kind comments!
@darsphotos Oh wow, thanks so much. Just loved the effect of the zoom here. Thanks so much, Darlene!!!
Extremely super-duper Amanda. I'm glad I read the comments. I was wondering how you could have gotten such fantastic focus on your daughter AND the zoom effect. Great processing work.
@edie Hey, did you ever see my spin on the swing shot. It's different than yours (trees in there, not all sky), so I added a little something to make it my own. How did I do, swingmaster?:)
@edie That is awesome..thanks for the fav...high praise from the one who I admire so much with these types of shots. Glad I didn't rip off your style too much:). Love ya!!!
Super appreciate all of your great comments and feedback. Thanks, too, for all of your faves. Again, so humbled by your responses. I love these types of shots and always admire a good swing shot. Yet never have quite pulled it off. Used the setting the professional recommended and focused and set on continuous shoot mode and snapped away. It was a good shot, but then I added a little something with the zoom burst post processing and loved the zing that it gave the photo, the feeling of speed. Just trying to put my own spin on something that gets done a lot. Thanks again for your kindness!!
