This was a quick snap that I took of Clara when out on a walk recently. I found it and relooked at really loved it.
Sometimes looking at my shots helps me to remember and appreciate how truly blessed I am, the amazing gift that I was given.
I heard a funny thing at church today. A man was sharing about a group that meets at his home, a men's group. He reminded us that our church mission is: Go, Love, Live. And he said the opposite of that is: Stay, Hate, Die. What would you rather do? Funny, interesting thing to ponder.
This was taken, ironically, across the street from my dog hating neighbor who has asked me to keep the dog out of their yard. Well last night, I was busted with the dog again. I had been so good and stayed out for months. And the one time, I didn't feel like pulling the dog, I was caught and corrected again. Part of me grumbles about it and part of me feels bad and doesn't want to be a grumbler. I think I will bake them some muffins and make them an apology note and perhaps walk a different route.
Anyhoo, how cute is little Miss Sassy Boots here?! Come on!:)
Go! Love! Live! Yes that is just what Clara is doing in such a determined and charming way. Sometimes we need to grumble because we need comfort and understanding - but it's a good idea to turn the grumbles into muffins! I am sure your dog is kind and polite and a lot of fun.
Bless the dog hater.
Recognized your little "mini me" right away - so envious that your future super model is young enough to still be your favorite photo op. Mine is near by but might as well be on Mars for as little as I've seen her lately due to a hectic work schedule and a new beau... Nice shot, my friend :)
Nice sort of serious face while she is walking! Your idea of muffins is so good - they will think you are so nice that they simply can't object to the occasional wander!
She is so a mini Amanda isn't she! ;o) I saw your little dilemma with the dog walking on fb and wondered how you'd approach it. I think some people just have an overwhelming need to be grumpy! Is it their pathway? Do they actually own it or have they claimed it without any real authority? Good luck anyway. I think you're being incredibly gracious xx
Adorable capture of her...she looks so serious and appears to be on a mission. Is that leaves in her hand? Sweet. Too bad about the neighbor...hope you can work it out.
Wish my neighbour would make me anything. You sound a great neighbour. Here in U.K. we all have fences around our front gardens. Love the little one. Enjoy. Mine is 20 in a few weeks and won't be here after September.
@cimes1 Aw, thanks so much for that. She is totally huggable and awesome. Love my girl!
@psychographer We have no sidewalks in the neighborhood. I walk in the road on their side of the road to be safe and see oncoming traffic. I've been avoiding it for months, but maybe in my grumbling avoided it less the other night. They have a really long yard. It's a cul de sac corner lot and is the length of 2 yards perhaps. They have every right to ask me not to be in their yard, I get that. It's just that they are kinda jerky about it. I had been friendly with the woman before this, but don't feel so friendly anymore. I want to get over that though, so I am trying to think of ways to bless her instead of grumbling.
@espyetta Aw, thank you. I haven't been into boots for that long, but they are so nice in the cold and it's fun to be sassy in them!:)
@lesip Aw, she is so great to have around as my little pal. Nice to have a partner in crime:). Come on over and we can share her for a walk:). Bring Bones!!
It's a beautiful portrait of a beautiful girl. We have a neighbour who has started parking a huge horse box right outside our house, along with numerous cars. We find ourselves moaning (especially when trying to back out onto the road as it restricts our view quite a bit) Then we wonder what sort of miserable people we are turning into!!! Neighbours eh?
