This is what I say when I look in the mirror these days!
No, not really.
The hair is growing on my slllllooowly. It is actually. And this weekend, I am going over to my short haired, artist sister, who is going to help me tame and style it. Whip it into shape. Maybe I'll like it yet.
Meanwhile, this screaming orchid caught my eye. It yelled out to me to take it's portrait. Had to oblige.
Oh and thank you so much for your kind comments about my defeated selfie. I am not really that defeated, just sick and tired of dealing with this issue. Yesterday, I took a break and feel better about things. Got a workout in and took care of myself for a change, too. Lately it has just been nearly constant sickness and plagues of some sort and it gets draining.
Guess what?! It's warming up here and today it will be 60!! Such a welcome change!
@cejaanderson At least to the Conservatory. It was like being on vacation going there for an hour or so. A breath of warm and muggy air and a nice break from the cold and snow. Snow nearly melted. Spring is around the corner!
Gorgeous orchid. I totally feel ya on the overwhelming-ness of a sick family! I get so stressed out when my family is sick - very draining indeed! Did you go for a run? I went yesterday in our new town! It was 55 and sunny! Isn't it amazing what a little run and sun will do for you! Take care!
@eyeamlisa I did go for a run the other night and then did a barbell class last night. Definitely helps. Where is your new town? Fun to have a new hood to explore!
You also have a great sense of humor, Amanda. Seeing this orchid as yelling at you is definitely a different way of seeing things. You found a stunning subject to photograph.
@amandal we are about 40 miles north of Detroit. I actually grew up here, but in a different area of town. I always learn my way around much better by running than taking a car. Yay, endorphins!
Fabulous capture .You did this orchid justice.
