There's a Tadpole in the Bucket

Dear Liza, dear Liza...a tadpole in the bucket, dear Liza...Tadpole!! (slightly tweaked lyrics for my little almost a froggy friend).

Emily fished this cool almost a frog out of Matt's Pond yesterday. We got to see some amazing creatures...frogs, turtles, and almost frogs...tadpoles.

Loving all of creation even the teeny tiny things. So precious and well formed.

What on earth happens to their tails? Must find out. Obviously no hole in this bucket!

When I was a kid (100 years ago) I used to catch tad poles and keep them in a bowl!! I loved them and watching them grow into frogs. When they became frogs we would let them go!! I loved them the most when they were the tad poles!! This guy has a great tail!!! Kind of snake like!!

This brings back fond childhood memories of keeping a few tadpoles in a fish bowl and watching them grow legs. I was always so worried they'd turn into frogs and jump out before I woke up in the morning.
