And my son being his crazy self. I was chastising him for being so serious and miserable looking in all the photos, so he mixed it up in expression. A typical 10 year old boy.
So this was a cool Americana Lego exhibit at our local mall that we went to over the weekend. There were tons of famous American landmarks made out of Lego scattered throughout the mall.
This was the largest and they had a contest to guess the number of bricks to create the US Capitol building. I suspect that it took millions of Legos to set this up.
I've been too lazy to pack my camera lately now that I have a cell phone that takes decent photos. Why get a shoulder cramp by lugging around a huge bag?
But then it makes me sad that the quality suffers. Such a trade off...convenience vs quality.
My son, when he was younger, made the most amazing Lego Super Power guys ever, so I really have an admiration for whomever built this!!! Wowzer!!!! Of course your son would do this (which I think is so cute) all boys are so silly at this age!! I love it!! The girls look so cute!!! FAV!
SO amazing, isn't it, that these are legos. I bet the kids loved it! Lego's have been around for so long. My oldest son (who will be 45 this year) had tons of them back in the early 70's. They've come a long way. This is such a great shot of your kiddos...the lighting is fantastic.
Very cool! The kids reminded me of some kind of ballet performance where the main characters come out to bow in front of the public after the show :) Nice setting.
@annied Did you play the game Battleship back in the 80s? That was one of my favorite games. My sinking your battleship was in reference to those commercials from back in the day.:) And this is the US Capital.:)
Sounds fun… but did the kids enjoy it? The girls could be trying really hard not to disappoint you while Lucas is just hamming it up! They made me smile anyway!
A great capture -- the kids look like they are having fun.
