These were actually the redhead nextdoors' leaves. I featured her last week, all tall and proud.
Ironically, my neighbors had raked and blown their leaves up the night before only to have a thick carpet of more leaves the next day. A red carpet. And their neighbor crept over during the day while they were gone to lay down on the red carpet to photo it's beautiful color in the light. What a strange neighbor to have.
