The Winter Wood: Beautiful Despair by alophoto

The Winter Wood: Beautiful Despair

I am just imagining today what it would have been like as a disciple of Jesus way back in the day on the day after their Messiah was crucified. The despair and defeat they must have felt. They had no idea what to believe or do next. And they had no clue what was in store come Easter morning.
Fantastic b&w shot, very moody scene

I like the mood this picture gives. A good picture for the time in between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

A wonderful piece of prose to match the mood in this sombre scene before the great jubilations of Easter Sunday .

Very moving image. Your new name is so at odds with your images.

So true, the loss of Jesus had left the floundering and your title a perfect description. Love the baroness and desolate looking area, great b&w shot and @tommykeith that would have been thrilling!

@tonydebont Wonder if I should change it to something else. I needed a change...Incognito better?

Moody and lovely comp. I'm a bit of an agnostic (but brought up Catholic) but that title is still full of meaning.
