I just found this moment precious. Emily was sharing a story with her sweet neighbor and Sunday school friend about how in moving, she left her best friend in the whole wide world behind. She was sharing about leaving California 4 years ago.
She tells the story a lot. She was 5 then and in Kindergarten and I can't help but inwardly groan as I hear it again and again.
But Bethany, she listened empathetically, comfortingly. Look at that sweet face.
Love the proximity of the girls. No personal space. Just friends...sharing life and listening well.
May I talk less and listen more, like this precious girl.
Sweetest of captures. Moving is rough on friendships but the experience makes for a more interesting person. Gives you a story to tell too. Never did me any harm that I'm aware of.
