The Abandoned City Trains

This scene of the empty, quiet trainyard reminded me of a post apocalyptic type scene. I had just finished reading the Divergent series before visiting Chicago and it took place in a rather gutted Chicago. This reminded me of Divergent and the trains. I wanted to be Dauntless and try to jump one.
Yes, I see what you mean... loved those films. Have the books, but not read them yet, which is unlike me - I normally love reading the books first.
Lovely shot.

Great choice of location, certainly looks deserted.

Fabulous! Yes, the large number of trains going into Chicago does remind me of that, now that you mention it.

This is where you chose to go when you visited Chicago?? Seriously, it does look somewhat post-apocalyptic -- the kind where a virus or something wipes out all the people but leaves the buildings standing and untouched, just deserted adn lifeless. Cool image!

@mcsiegle It was the path we took to walk where we were going in the city. We had walked through the city on the first day and this day, we took the bike path on the side of town and along Lake Michigan.

@alophoto You gotta watch them and let me know how you think they compare to the books.
