On our way back to the car after volunteering at Matthew 25 ministries boxing clothing for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
Wish we were there to help in person. I wish I could have rescued people from the flooding, or given them warm blankets and dry socks, but this is the best we can do from OH.
Righteous children!
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
@janeandcharlie At times. I only wish they were a little less complainy and realized how easy it is we have things. Looking forward to the day where they serve with no complaints! I know they are just kids, but...
Great shot of your little volunteers...It's amazing for all we hear about USA's division that all of the people in Houston and surrounding areas came together to help each other. Thanks for your help, Amanda and family.
bless you all for helping. we always feel we could help more and it's not possible. what you all did was wonderful and necessary! please let the kids know how proud we are that they helped!
A lovely, sweet photo - they are learning by example, and these lessons of giving will stay with them forever (even though it may not seem like it, at times)
Great photo and so wonderful of you and your family to help. I saw on the news this morning that they have more than what they need and are trying to get it all organized and putting so much in warehouses and some sits out in the weather and rain. How unfortunate as so many still need so much.
