Yesterday we had quite incredible time. It was slightly warmer out...only barely freezing, so we set out for our local nature center for a hike.
I experienced for the first time walking on a frozen pond. That was quite a feat for me considering one of my greatest childhood fears was falling through ice and drowning. This was a pretty silly fear as I grew up in iceless Florida.
I've captured at this park leaves floating on the water a couple times. And this was cool because it was a leaf just barely submerged and frozen in the ice.
Seriously fun time and amazing memory day.
In other news today, I found out that my camera order has been cancelled. Pretty devistated. Maybe it wasn't meant to be...but I'm gonna call and raise some cain!
Update to the rotten news: I remained calm and controlled, prayed first for favor and made the call and customer service took care of me and is shipping me out the same camera for the same deal (it had gone up $100 since I ordered) and I should have it this week! Praising God!!
Wonderful find with part of the leaves skeletonised under the ice ! My fear would also be falling through the ice !! brrrr ! too horrible to think about !!
@shesnapped I did NOT. The dumb company (that I happen to work for) did. I got it fixed. Praise God. I didn't know if they stopped carrying it or?? Also since I ordered the price went up $100 so if I couldn't have fixed it with the call, I would probably have to put a new camera on indefinite hold. So so glad it worked out!
@koalagardens Thinking back, I was pretty calm as my kids ran across the ice. Maybe that was dumb. So thankful it was solid. It had been regularly below 0 for a week.
WHY DID YOU CANCEL YOUR ORDER???
