We headed over Kirkstone Pass which is England's highest road where we stopped off and decided to climb the nearest mountain. Too say we were not dressed for fell walking is an understatment!
Still, despite the lack of suitable footwear we almost reached the summit. The views were fantastic, shame about the low cloud.
We then headed to Ullswater lake and aira waterfalls where I tried my hand at some long exposure shots - reasonably successful.
We picniced in a field then drove to Castlerigg stone circle on Honiston Pass then stopped again a little further along where we climbed another mountain - where this pic was taken, stopped for a cream tea then headed home stopping a few more times for a bit more site seeing and photo opportunities.
I like the fact this pic shows off the steepness of the hills we climbed/scrambled up..
Lol nice shot Andy looks like you had fun
