Ranshackle by andycoleborn

Ranshackle

Stopped off on the way to Portsmouth at a ruin of a building near to the village af Hinehead in Hampshire. I think it's a former road side cafe but has been empty and in a serious stage of disrepair for as long as I can remember.

I wanted my photo to bring across the sad state of the property, but as I was in a rush to get to the football, I didn't really put any serious thought into my photos and just snapped off a few images.

In post-processing, I tweaked and tweaked and tweaked in picnik to eventually reach something I was happy with.

As I mentioned, I was in Portsmouth to watch Pompey take on Barnsley this afternoon. We won, but it was a dreadful game! But as it's our first home win in about 3 months, I don't care how bad the game was :-)

Quick stop off at my parents then a couple more hours in the car.. Now home and cream crackered!
love this...love all of your processing lately

I do like a bit of building decay. Nicely tweaked.

Spectacular detail; great processing....feels really old.

Andy, it may be Ranshackle, but your tweaks have made a good image.

As for 2 hour drives for home matches, I have those too. It's not much fun when you lose.

@phil_howcroft ha ha that's true - although I'm pretty much use to the post-defeat drive home these days :-)

cream crackered=knackered I presume. Might have to start using that expression. I think your tweaking got you your desired result as it look like a pretty sad building

Well your post processing really does make this building look like it should be torn down! One good wind and I think it would be toast.
