Sometimes it really is no trial at all to walk the dog...

As I think I've said before, ain't nature wonderful? Ceilidh was very patient whilst I took my photo for the day.
Lovely scene

The lighting in this is wonderful! I love the way it reflects and love the sheep. Beautiful shot!

Such a warm, inviting tone over this. I really like the comp of this shot with the slight reflection in the frozen water area.

A well balanced picture with the skyline 1 third down and the fence line one third up, the big tree one third from the right and the sheep almost one third from the left. They should make up a rule about this sort of thing.... :-). ND grad filter (can be added PP if not through a real filter) would allow a greater exposure on the sheep but keep the sunrise as is. Nice!

@billabonga Rule of thirds? Never heard of it :-)
Thanks for the suggestion re getting a bit more detail in the sheep. I do find that's the 1 downside of this lovely supportive community- people are quite reluctant to make suggestions and I do want to learn! I'll have a search in my pp package for a grad filter- know all pp's are different but any suggestions of what it might be called? It did annoy me that I lost the sheep detail but playing around on the original I know the information's there and it just needs bringing out. Thanks!

@angelar I know what you mean- lots of "yeah great" is nice but What we want is what to do to make a good shot a great shot. I will always try Tk be constructive if you like! If there is no obvious ND grad or gradient function you may need to make 2 layers, one levels adjusted for the perfect sky and one adjusted for the sheep then select half of one layer with a 200px feather and put it on top of the other which should blend them about right. Does that make sense?

@billabonga Thanks Bill- that's fab. Doesn't make much sense at the moment but may do more when I look at my photoshop. I'm in the really early days of using that. Please do indeed make whatever comments you want. It's great getting all this positivity and I think this is an amazing community encouraging us forward but if you have any suggestions, I'd rather have it and be able to learn some more. Perfect by me!

Basic tutorial for an easy way. (lighten your image for the sheep first!)
