12th Century rule of thirds

Quite unexpctedly today we ended up outside a lovely 12th century ruin, Croxden Abbey.

I'm not really a huge fan of a lot of stuff in post processing but project 365 is all about pushing yourself so I've worked on this. All opinions and advice welcome!

I've taken a railing out across the lower right that I couldn't get rid of in the taking of the shot and obviously I've made it black and white but I've also used one of the available overall effects that I quite like with this subject matter and I've done some lightening under the main arch.
I like the naturalness to this. Love the remnants of what was originally there.... Sorry can't help with the advice part. :0)

Nice shot as usual, I do like black and white. Hope Shirley manages to get some good photo's. Camera club by myself next couple of weeks, I have to take notes.

I think you have done a wonderful job Angela. I think the BW really suits this image as it brings out the tones and texture in the stones. Great shot.
