Shambling along the street

This is the famous Shambles in York, UK. I know the city well but I can't remember the last time I saw this tiny medieval street with nobody on it. As my husband and I lef the city and the lights were turning on, I took some photos with the evening lighting. The buildings generally date back to the 14th and 15th century and the street itself was mentioned in William the Conquerors Doomesday Book in 1086.
I like the light and the tones in this as well as the leading line created by the pathway. Your photo makes me want to walk down that path and see what adventure awaits me.

Wonderful shot. Lovely street and I love how the light from the buildings is cast onto the ground.
