I followed this to its stop outside a church where it dropped off wedding guests. This is an iconic sight, even to we English! Unless in wedding service, they're not normally this clean!
Great shot. I rode in one of these in 1971 while visiting friends in London. Our son and daughter-in-law got married a number of years agoin Washington, D.C, and we had a couple of *trolleys* transport the guests between the hotel and the church. They had a late afternoon wedding and on the way back to the reception, they drove by a number of the monuments. Ten years later, guests are still talking about it.
Great shot. What a wonderful way to get your guests to the church. I'm having quite a retro moment looking at your photos. Vespa a couple of days ago and now a red bus - memories. I used to ride on a bus like this every day in Manchester from when I was a child until I got married and then moved away from the area. I've even seen one in Australia.
I love your big six wheeler, scarlet painted, twenty foot long by ten feet wide, observer of the Highway Code, monarch of the road TRANSPORT OF DELIGHT. And a nod to Flanders and Swann.
