We had such an exciting afternoon as we were invited to visit the new control tower at Manchester Airport that is due for commissioning in 10 days. All the equipment is receiving accurate incoming information and the audio is connected to the existing control tower so all that was missing from the real thing was the fact that we could push buttons without crashing the planes! Everything is state of the art and is so impressive!
@mak2 I didn't know if this visit would scare me but actually it was great to see the fab technology and calm human heads that combine to keep us safe in the air.
