A while ago now, the great chippy in our town had a fire.. On rebuilding, the owner, Tel, had tiles fired with good wishes from his customers.
It brought lots of memories back for me- my Dad owned a fish and chip shop through my teenage years and had a fire in our first shop just weeks after taking it over. That was a black day, in more ways than on. Of course, good always comes out of bad if you look for it and when we rebuilt, we got to refit the shop with amazing equipment on the insurance and my Dad went on to build this business up beyond all recognition.
Not bad as a phoenix from the ashes... Go for it now, Tel!
What a great story and lovely picture. We are all a bit like the phoenix on occasion aren't we. I have had to rise up from the ashes on a few occasions, but now I know I don't have to go that far down.
